It’s all about the dress for Surrey Brides as new bridal shop opens in
Caterham
Legacy of love helps Surrey bride open her own wedding shop.
Interior designer Sally Church is set to take the wedding scene by storm as she opens her first ever bridal boutique, ‘Helena Fortley’, on
Godstone Road in Caterham this weekend (15 February 2014), thanks to a legacy left by her mother.
Sally, who has both lived and worked in the town for over eight years,  lost her mum Carol after a long battle with cancer just six months
before her own wedding in 2011.  Planning Sally’s dream day was done step by step with Carol and after a catalogue of negative
experiences when choosing Sally’s dress, conversations left them in no doubt that they could offer brides a far better experience than
those they had encountered themselves.
The proceeds of Carol’s Will were left to her only child, Sally, who knew immediately how she would invest the money. This weekend Sally
will fulfil the dream they had together and open Helena Fortley bridal boutique in memory of her mother.
Sally, Owner and Manager of Helena Fortley bridal boutique, comments: “My mother and I had a very disappointing experience when we
were looking for my dress; convincing us that we could provide a better service.  I would like every woman who steps into Helena Fortley
to feel part of a magical experience that leaves them in no doubt that they are the most beautiful bride to have ever walked this earth.”
“My mother was my best friend and of course I wish she was here to experience every step with me; I know she’d be bursting with pride at
our vision and how I’ve made it a reality. She’ll be with me on my journey and will always be the person inspiring me to make our dream
the success that she so wanted it to be.”
Named after Sally’s paternal grandmother, Helena Fortley is situated just across from St John’s Church, in Caterham Valley and has been
designed to provide a luxurious, yet relaxing atmosphere for brides making that special purchase.
The boutique will focus on the experience of finding that special dress; as www.helenafortley.co.uk  enthuses, ‘Your dress is the dress of
all dresses, the crème de la crème, what dreams are made of and of course the centrepiece of photos that will live on forever; at Helena
Fortley we know, like the groom, it’s got to be… The One’
Brimming with exquisite accessories including everything from veils, tiaras, bags, parasols, gloves, boas, shawls, garters, jewellery and
delicate perfumes; all items have been carefully selected to complement the designers in the Helena Fortley Collection.
Dress designers include Miguel Suey; Lusan Mandongus; Paloma Blanca; Eliza Jane Howell and Watters.
